To help ensure our koi fish are placed into properly vetted new forever homes, an approved Koi Adoption Request is required for all hobbyists wishing to schedule an appointment to attend our special hosted koi adoption events. We understand that many hobbyists tend to upgrade thier ponds over time as they grow in experience, so please be honest when submtting your request without fear of being rejected based solely on responses provided.

Koi often serve as hosts to various common koi parasites, including flukes and costia. The koi transport process can be very stressful for koi fish, which greatly weakens their natural immune system. This is especially true for large koi. The sole purpose of our hosted koi adoption events is to help us find suitable new forever homes for some of the living jewels entrusted to our care. *I understand Southern California Koi Rescue is not a koi dealer or reseller.

Southern California Koi Rescue does not ship koi, nor will we deliver any koi to you. Our special hosted koi adoption events are intended for approved private hobbyists only. Koi dealers and others seeking to acquire koi for resale are strictly prohibited. *I am not a koi dealer nor am I seeking to acquire any koi for resale.

All koi adoptions are AS-IS and FINAL. Absolutely no refunds will be issued. Credit for any koi losses occurring while in transport may be issued at our discretion; however, this credit must be redeemed towards rehoming fees at our next scheduled event. Unused credits may not be “banked” or “saved” for use at any future events. All unused credits are void once our next koi adoption event has been completed. Southern California Koi Rescue commonly offers several “free koi” quantity discounts at our hosted koi adoption events. We view these accepted free koi quantity discounts as proactive free replacements for any koi losses occurring in the future.
